Water treatment FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) tanks are high-performance, corrosion-resistant composite pressure vessels widely used in various water treatment systems. Their core structure typically consists of a polyethylene (PE) liner or an FRP liner, over which high-strength reinforcing fibers (such as fiberglass) are impregnated with high-performance, corrosion-resistant resins (such as epoxy or vinyl ester) and applied using advanced four-dimensional filament winding technology in a single continuous process. This manufacturing technique ensures uniform wall thickness, high structural strength, and excellent integrity.

Designed specifically to meet the diverse demands of water treatment equipment, these vessels offer outstanding chemical corrosion resistance, high compressive strength, and long service life. The complete tank structure primarily comprises the following components:

Tank Body: The main structure that contains the internal pressure, constructed from the aforementioned composite materials.

Top/Bottom Openings: Located typically at the top and bottom of the tank, used for fluid inlet/outlet, instrument installation (e.g., pressure gauges, level sensors), or as manways. These openings most often feature high-density, high-strength threaded connections or flanged connections. The connection fittings are usually made of stainless steel (e.g., 304, 316) or reinforced plastic to ensure reliable sealing and connection strength.

Drain Port: Usually positioned at the bottom or lower side of the tank, used for discharging sediment or completely draining the tank. It also employs high-strength threaded or flanged connections.

Base/Support: Provides stability and supports the entire tank. The base material is commonly FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Plastic) or reinforced polypropylene (Reinforced PP), offering sufficient rigidity and resistance to environmental corrosion.

This integrally molded composite structure makes water treatment FRP tanks an ideal choice for applications such as filtration systems (e.g., multimedia filters, activated carbon filters, softeners) and as pre-treatment or post-treatment storage tanks in reverse osmosis (RO) systems.
